Trump denies involvement in Georgia election ahead of indictments.

Former U.S. President Donald Trump has taken to social media in a series of posts ahead of further indictments in Georgia over alleged meddling in the presidential election.

“I did not meddle in the presidential election,” he wrote in a post on his social media platform, Tumblr, on Thursday local time, “and they should be prosecuted for meddling in the election and stealing the election.”

In another, he wrote, “Someone please contact Fulton County (Georgia) and tell them I did not meddle in the election.”

After the 2020 US presidential election, Trump was accused of exerting pressure to overturn the results in Georgia, a traditionally Republican state, after he narrowly lost to then-Democratic candidate Joe Biden.

In related news, the New York Times reports that witnesses in the case, including former Georgia Lieutenant Governor Jeff Duncan, were issued grand jury subpoenas on Friday.

If the grand jury decides to indict, it will be the fourth time Mr. Trump, the Republican presidential front-runner, has been indicted.

Previously, the special counsel investigating Trump’s removal of classified documents indicted him on charges including removal and unlawful retention of classified documents, and then charged him with conspiracy to commit fraud and obstruction of justice, and conspiracy to commit election fraud in connection with his attempt to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election.

Trump was also accused of using company money and falsifying records during the cover-up of a sex scandal.

The former president, however, 먹튀검증 has pleaded not guilty to all of his charges in a series of indictments.
