Wolverhampton stand firm despite Como shock statement

Wolverhampton have made it clear that they support Hwang despite Como’s claims.

The club posted a statement on its website on Saturday, saying, “Racism in any form is completely unacceptable. It must never be tolerated. We will be lodging a formal complaint with UEFA in relation to this incident,” the club said on its official social media, adding that it would ”continue to stand with Hwang Hee-chan.” Mario Lemina, the potential next captain, also posted on social media in support of Hwang.

The Hwang Hee-chan racism incident occurred during the match between Wolverhampton and Como on Saturday. A Como player made a racist remark while Hwang was on the field. According to the UK’s The Athletic, Hwang heard the racist remarks midway through the second half when Wolverhampton were leading 1-0. Wolverhampton teammate Daniel Fodense reportedly became so enraged that he threw a punch and was sent off. Other media outlets also picked up on the racist incident.

Como made a shocking claim. “Our club strongly condemns and does not tolerate all racism. I spoke to the defender in question about what he said. He said to a fellow defender, ‘Ignore him, he thinks he’s Jackie Chan (Jackie Chan),’” Como said, adding that they conducted their own investigation.

What followed was even more surprising. “We had a long talk and he said something about the Wolverhampton players calling him ‘Chani’. Our player, Como, did not intentionally try to disparage Hwang Hee-chan. He was disappointed that the Wolverhampton players overreacted and blown the situation out of proportion.” The racist remarks were made in a lighthearted and joking manner, and it’s hard to keep your mouth shut.

Wolverhampton have rallied around Hwang. From Podense, who acted during the game, to Lemina, who stood up for him on social media, to manager Gary O’Neill, who said, “I heard the racist comments. I am very disappointed. I spoke to him and he wanted to keep playing and do what the team needed him to do. I’m really disappointed that this happened,” O’Neill said. “Racism is something that shouldn’t happen. It’s natural and understandable that he’s 카지노사이트 disappointed. But I’m proud of the fact that in a difficult moment, we wanted to put the team first and continue to play.”

He added: “Hwang will be fine. He will have the full support of everyone at Wolverhampton. We worked really hard this week, we had a good week, we had some good moments in the game. But we have to deal with the unfortunate incident (the racism in Como) and ideally we will discuss when to talk about the game.”

Hwang said on his social media, “Thank you for the many messages of support from the club, staff, teammates, and fans. We are the same human being. We should enjoy soccer with a mature attitude. Today is the last day and no one should have to go through this anymore.” Despite the unity of Wolverhampton and the fans’ condemnation of the incident, Como insists that it was not racism and that the Wolverhampton players exaggerated.

Meanwhile, Hwang Hee-chan is being linked to Marseille. “With Marseille still in negotiations with Wolverhampton, Hwang Hee-chan has informed the board that he wants to join Marseille,” French transfer market expert Santi Auna of Foot Mercato reported on Friday. The Sun also reported that “a personal agreement has been reached”.

However, Wolverhampton reportedly declared Hwang unsaleable. Leading reporters are all clamoring. Alex Crook, a reporter for Talk Sport, also said, “Wolverhampton have no intention of selling Hwang,” which means they have a lot of trust in him and consider him a key player for the team.
