Too much of a void, and it’s hard to see a comeback at this point
Donny van der Beek, who was loaned from Manchester United to German Bundesliga side Frankfurt, has been dropped from the Europa Conference League (UECL) roster. ‘Frankfurt have decided not to register van der Wiel for the Conference League, and that has been confirmed,’ Sky Sports Germany’s Florian Plettenberg said on Friday (ET), adding that ‘the internal reason is that van der Wiel needs time to find his rhythm’.
Van der Beek was loaned to Frankfurt as soon as the winter transfer window opened last month. Frankfurt also have an option to buy him outright.
He started three consecutive Bundesliga games last month against Leipzig (1-0 win), 토토사이트 Darmstadt (2-2 draw) and Mainz (1-0 win) on Sept. 13. However, he did not get a chance to start against FC Koln on Sept. 4 (0-2 loss) as he remained on the bench.

In place of van der Beek, who will need more time, the club named left fullback Philipp Max to the roster.
The Dutchman joined the club from Ajax in August 2020 for a transfer fee of £35 million. However, he never really established himself.
In his first season in the English Premier League (EPL), he made 19 appearances, but only four starts. He played 512 minutes.
He was loaned to Everton for the second half of the 2021-2022 season. Expectations were high when his former coach at Ajax, Erik ten Haag, 안전 토토사이트 took over at the Toffees last season. He was reunited with van der Vaart, who returned from his loan spell.
However, he only played seven games (two starts, five substitute appearances) and 164 minutes in the EPL in the 2022-2023 season. Even this season, he was left out of the European Champions League squad for just two minutes. That was it.
“The Van der Vaart I knew when I first came to United was not the Van der Vaart I knew at Ajax, because he was injured. He was out of action for a long time, quite a long time. It took a long time to rehabilitate,” he said. “That’s the main reason why he wasn’t playing. He was not in a position to compete at a high level.”
But van der Beek’s “struggles” continue.
