Professional basketball team Wonju DB, led by rookie head coach Kim Joo-sung, has won two straight games after opening the 2023-2024 season.DB defeated Changwon LG 85-76 in an away game at Changwon Gymnasium on Nov. 26, led by Dedrick Lawson (29 points) and Lee Sun Albano (16 points).Kang Sang-jae added 13 points and Kim Jong-kyu 10 points to help the team extend its winning streak.LG, on the other hand, fell to their third straight loss, having not won a game since the start of the season despite a strong performance from Jung In-duk (19 points).The game, which was tied 62-62 after three quarters, tilted in DB’s favor with just over five minutes left in the fourth quarter.
DB Lawson hit both free throws with 5:10 left to start the run. He followed that up with a three-pointer and a two-point jump shot to quickly extend the lead to 80-63.LG pulled within 73-82 with 2:31 left in regulation after Yoo made three free throws.
