San Diego Padres infielder Ha-seong Kim has gone hitless in four consecutive games.

Kim started at shortstop in the No. 6 spot against the Cincinnati Reds at Petco Park in San Diego, California, on Tuesday. He went hitless in three at-bats. His on-base percentage dropped from 2-for-2 to 2-for-4 on the season.

San Diego battled back in the bottom of the inning, tying the game at 1-1 on a leadoff home run to left by Proppa.

Cincinnati put runners on second and third in the bottom of the second on a single by Martini and a double by Candelario. Espinal’s sacrifice fly to center field and an error made it 3-1. Benson and Steer added a run in the third on RBI doubles. Cincinnati scored the game-winning run in the ninth on Espinal’s RBI single. Cincinnati starter Nick Rodolo pitched seven innings, allowing one run on one hit (a homer) with two walks and 11 strikeouts. San Diego starter Matt Waldron took the loss, allowing four runs on six hits (one homer) with four strikeouts in six innings.
